Frequently Asked Questions
Which iPhones support dual camera recording?
Any iPhone with an ultrawide camera (iPhone 11 and newer) supports multi-cam recording. Single lens mode works on iPhone XS and newer.
Why is multi-cam limited to 30fps on my device?
Running two cameras simultaneously requires significant processing power. The iPhone's ISP limits dual-camera recording based on available formats. Some devices support 60fps multi-cam with compatible formats, while others are limited to 30fps.
What video formats are supported?
DualRecorder supports MP4, MOV, and ProRes (on iPhone 13 Pro and newer). You can record in 720p, 1080p, or 4K at up to 120fps.
Is there a subscription?
No. DualRecorder is a one-time purchase of $4.99. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases. Every feature is included.
Where are my recordings saved?
Both the portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) videos are saved directly to your Photos library.
Does the app collect any data?
No. DualRecorder collects zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no advertisements. Everything stays on your device.
How does the teleprompter work?
Enable the teleprompter in Settings, paste your script, and set the scroll speed. The text appears as an overlay on the camera preview and starts scrolling automatically when you begin recording.
Can I use the front camera?
Yes. Use the flip camera button to switch between front and rear cameras. In single lens mode, both portrait and landscape versions are created from whichever camera you select.
